Cédric Pescia studied in Lausanne, Geneva and Berlin. In 2002 he won the „Gina Bachauer International Artists Piano Competition“. Since then he has been invited to give concerts and recitals on the most important stages in Germany and abroad, among others at the Berliner Philharmonie, Konzerthaus Berlin, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Carnegie Hall New York, Tonhalle Zurich and Wigmore Hall London, as well as at numerous festivals. His recordings including Bach’s Goldberg Variations, works by Schumann, Beethoven, François Couperin, Debussy and Messiaen, all published by Claves Records, received plenty of acclaim and appeal from the press.

The duo performs regularly throughout Europe. The latest seasons brought the duo amongst others to Heidelberg, Fulda, Mannheim, Marseille, to WestCork Festival, the Brandenburgische Sommerkonzerte and to Brucknerhaus Linz.

The Duo Stark has already recorded two highly acclaimed CDs for Claves: The first one with works by Busoni and Enescu, a second one dedicated to Clara and Robert Schumann and recently, a recording of works by Ernst Bloch has been released.
